Creative Publishing: Studios is Looma's high-fidelity platform for music and visual arts. Unlike standard Moments or Discussions, Studio creations feature dedicated audio streaming, high-res photography viewers, and 24-hour early access windows.
The Studios Feed on Home
The Home page features three core tabs for verified adult and independent minor accounts:
- Discussions: Text-first community dialogues and Q&As.
- Moments (Loomies): Photos and video updates from accounts and communities you follow.
- Studios: A dedicated global feed of original audio releases, photography collections, and artwork from the creative community.
You can set Studios as your default startup feed by opening Settings → General → Default Feed and selecting Studios Feed (Global).
Publishing a Music Track
Musicians, podcasters, and sound designers can publish original audio directly to followers and interest networks:
- Tap the + (Create) button on the bottom bar and select Music Track (or navigate to
/trackadd).
- Select Audio File: Tap to choose an audio file from your device (MP3, WAV, AAC, FLAC).
- Album Artwork: Upload custom square cover art (1:1 aspect ratio recommended).
- Track Information:
- Track Title: The song or piece name.
- Release Notes / Story: Background information, lyrics, production credits, or artist notes.
- Prelude (24-Hour Preview): Toggle 24h Prelude to give your community a special 24-hour spotlight window upon release.
- Rights Certification: You must check the rights certification checkbox confirming you hold the intellectual property or distribution license for the audio.
- Explicit Content Flag: If your track contains explicit language or mature subject matter, toggle Explicit on. This automatically filters the track from child and supervised minor accounts in accordance with Looma Child Safety Standards.
- Placements: Choose where the track appears (your personal profile, specific communities, or organization hubs).
Tap Post Track to publish. Followers can listen with the built-in mini-player while continuing to browse the app.
Publishing Studio Art & Photography
Painters, digital illustrators, and photographers have a dedicated canvas format designed for visual fidelity:
- Tap + (Create) and select Studio Art (or navigate to
/studioartadd).
- Choose Format:
- Photography: Optimized for high-resolution photo shots, EXIF camera details, and natural color profiles.
- Studio Art: Designed for digital paintings, illustrations, multi-layer canvases, and physical artwork scans.
- Select Media: Choose single or multiple high-resolution images from your library or capture directly with the camera.
- Teaser (24-Hour Preview): Enable 24h Teaser to showcase the piece with an animated preview badge.
- Location & Story: Add title, description, medium details, and optional location tagging.
- Placements: Post to your followers or select participating art communities.
Interacting with Studio Posts
- Persistent Audio Playback: Audio tracks continue playing in the background as you navigate between pages or read discussions.
- High-Resolution Canvas View: Tap any studio artwork to enter full-screen presentation mode with zoom and uncompressed detail viewing.
- Bookmarks: Save standout tracks and artwork into your personal library for quick offline or future reference.
- Sharing: Share tracks and canvases to community chats, external links, or discussions.
Safety & Age Restrictions
Child Protection: In keeping with Looma’s zero-tolerance safety policies, tracks marked with explicit tags are completely hidden from Restricted and Supervised minor accounts. Audio recordings and images are also scanned by automated safety classifiers to ensure community standards are maintained.
