Listings are separate. A listing is person-to-person (chat + award). Organization and community Storefronts (Shop / Charity / Fundraiser) use Cart and Checkout. Profile My Orders is for cart checkouts, not listing sales. Text conversations without media belong in Discussions.
Who can use Listings
- Browse the marketplace hub: verified adults and verified independent minors (via Storefronts)
- Create a listing: verified adults with marketplace access only
- Chat on a listing: verified adults, independent minors, and supervised minors (when messaging is allowed)
- Unverified adults do not get marketplace create access
Open the Listings hub
Listings are not a top-level drawer item. Open them from:
- Drawer or rail → Storefronts → Discover card Listings (Buy, sell, and browse classifieds)
- Create menu / FAB → Listing (opens Create Listing when you have marketplace access)
- Community, organization, network, or public profile tabs that show Listings
- Explore / Search / tag search → Listings
- Bookmarks → tab Listings

Marketplace hub UI
- Search: hint Search listings
- Category chips: All, then category types from the catalog
- Filters: Price (Min / Max, Apply / Clear), Sort (Newest, Price: low to high, Price: high to low), and Available only
- Results: masonry grid of listing tiles (title and price; media when present)
- Empty hub: Nothing for sale right now
Other surfaces may still show Nothing For Sale, No Shared Listings, or No Listings yet.
Create a listing
Create menu / FAB → Listing, or hub Create listing, opens Create Listing (verified adults with marketplace access).
- Media (optional): Pick Album or camera. Empty: No media selected. You can continue without photos.
- Information: Enter the item title (required), Category (required; Choose a category / Please choose a category), and Tell us about your item.
- Your item's price, optional Add location, and Posted to (tap Add). Audience can include Followers Only.
- Success: Post added successfully.
Create details also appear in Creating & Sharing.
Listing detail
Tap a tile to open detail (app bar Listing). Cards and detail can show a media carousel when photos or video were attached.
- Listing status chips: AVAILABLE, PENDING, or SOLD
- Seller row: chat icon when a listing conversation exists and messaging is allowed for your tier. Chat opens the listing thread. It is not the same as Connect.
- Connect (overflow): follow / unfollow the seller across Looma. Connect does not start the listing chat.
- Others: like, bookmark, share; Flag / Flag post for review
- Owner: Delete post (confirm Delete Post?) when the listing is still editable; Manage Sale (Update status or pickup instructions)
- When awarded: Private Pickup Instructions (encrypted for seller and awarded buyer), plus Resend pickup instructions or Ask seller to resend pickup when relevant
Buying and selling in chat
Listings do not use Cart or Checkout. Typical path:
- Buyer opens listing chat from the seller-row chat icon (when available) and messages the seller.
- In Messaging, listing threads show a deal header with status Open, Awarded, or Locked, plus View listing.
- Seller long-presses a buyer message and chooses Award Buyer (dialog Award Listing → Confirm & Award). After award, the chat can lock for others.
- Owner uses Manage Sale to set available / pending / sold, edit pickup instructions, or remove a buyer.
Locked composer copy: This conversation is locked. Only the seller and the awarded buyer can send messages. Full Messaging UI: Messaging & Calls.
Treat meetup and payment arrangements carefully. Use Flag if something looks wrong. See Privacy, Safety & Wellbeing.
